Water Facts / Fact Details

Did you know...

Failing water infrastructure nationwide is now being described as “a ticking time bomb that’s ready to go off.”

One of the major benefits of a decentralized water system like the Living Machine® is that there is no large, sprawling, vastly expensive infrastructure to repair.  All across the country, aging centralized systems are failing at an alarming rate. Just during the first three months of 2009 alone, water main breaks have led to drivers being stranded in California, flooded schools in Minnesota and Texas, a closed subway in New York City, and millions of gallons of water being lost.

An article by the New York Times, quotes an EPA report as saying that the repair needs of our aging water infrastructure will total $334.8 billion over the next two decades.
