The Public Utlities Commission of San Francisco manages the water and sewer services for
the city of San Francisco. For their new Headquarters in downtown they wanted to
demonstrate state of the art wastewater treatment and water reuse. They chose a Living
Machine treatment system to treat all wastewater from 1,000 employees in the facility for
toilet flushing reuse. Construction should be completed in 2012.
