The Otay Mesa Border Crossing is one of two which serve San Diego, CA
and Tijiuana, MX. The General Services Adminstration in their quest to
demonstrate innovative technologies that can be widely applicable for other
GSA facilities chose to demonstrate a Living Machine treatment system for
irrigation reuse. The treatment system is an essential component of the
landscaping surrounding the footpath connecting the US and Mexico.
Construction should be completed in 2012.
